Use my 3000 exclusively remotely. Similar to the other fellows, I use
Radmin or VNC for remote desktop control, and either IPsound or Skype
for audio, depending on where I am and bandwidth available.
Works great.
Can even operate it now with my iPod Touch with its new multitasking OS,

If the reference is to the amount of +12 Volt power you can pull from
the FlexWire connector on the back of the radio. Up to 250 mA is not a
problem.
If you are driving a relay with the FlexWire PTT Out pin, be sure to
put an inductive "kick" suppression diode across the relay.

The knowledge base article says the Flex radios "can only take on a limited
amount of current."
How much is too much? Or what is the limit? 5ma - 10ma - 50ma?

I use LogMeIn (free) to remote the desktop and Skype for the audio. Using
Acer Aspire 1410 netbook with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I use a
Plantronics PC headset and either the trackpad mouse or keyboard commands to
control PSDR.

I have used team viewer (its free). It will also handle the audio fairly
well but I use Skype for audio most of the time.

I can confirm that settings for the transverter antenna selection is still
broken in 2.0.7. It does not remember which setting for TX antenna and
always resets to PA, which is actually quite annoying. Not sure if it still
reverts to XVCOM when you split the RX/TX because I switched to using only

When I set the Flex-1500 to receive on XVRX in Simple Mode, and then
re-start PSDR, this setting seems to be lost. Is there a way to keep
this setting through re-starts?

No problems here, driving Tokyo HL-1.1Kfx with both the 3K and 5K. The
Tokyo keying requirements are 5 Volts at 1 Ma according to the Tokyo Manual.
I key the amp directly from the Flex.
