Brian,
How did you come up with the number "5"? I have it on good authority that
there is just me! What I want to know is "how come those 1500 people" think
that PowerSDR is written just for them?
You gotta admit this is a great hobby!

I use "miniDeluxe" in place of HRD. It allows quick response to all
commands.
See this link:

While I run the Flex 3000, I uninstalled the older version of PowerSDR just
to be safe.

For what its worth I am running a Flex 3K with 64 bit W7, the latest V2
PowerSDR and the latest betas of HRD with no discernable delay problems - I
had them with V1 PowerSDR but they disappeared completely with my V2
upgrade. I use VSPE in the "splitter" mode and VAC and BobSmeter and
easyPal and
Larry,
I use DM780 without running HRD by configuring PTT to use a virtual comm port
instead of via HRD. I find that the switching speed is fine whereas I
experienced significant delays when going through HRD.

Hello All -
Am running F5K with PSDR 2.0.16.
Am trying to configure F5K to run Digital.
Have set up HRD/DM780 according to instruction on wiki, but have run into some
problems:
HRD "sees" Flex, and PTT seems to work, but there is a delay of up to 15
seconds before
any command is executed. Wh
Okay Jerry. I have Win7 and should probably get it tuned up remotely by
that bloke around here ummm what's his name again :-)

Re: Michael, W4HIJ - Amp options for 1500
As for amps for the 1500 I'm running a 12-year-old used Palomar RFL-TX2290LD
amp into a LDG Pro 200 autotuner which was originally sold here in Canada by
RadioWorld to a local ham.
Output varies by band but the amp puts manages 60 watts or so on 160 rea
To bad the swr /power meter is not build in on the V/U addon.
Another question:
Is any other way possible to add it? May be by using a mutilexer in front
of the existing A/D for use of power metering?
If we have to have an external solution:
Question:
Are there any other SWR heads (low cost)
Are there Flex radio T-shirts and/or Hats available to purchase.
Does someone have a list of flex user websites?
This question may be sensitive. How many flexers are there?

I have a high performance video card and it helps PSDR, if only indirectly.
I always have half a dozen other things--radio related and not--running at
the same time. The graphics card picks up some of the cpu load for those
applications, leaving more oomph for PSDR.
No, Brian, there actually *is*

Or crunch numbers for the different BOINC (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ )
projects. SETI@Home can use an NVIDIA or ATI GPU to crunch work units when not
playing radio. Nothing like looking for intelligent life forms out in the
cosmos when you have spare CPU cycles needing something to do.

I don't know the effects the cache would have, Dave. Maybe Neal could
tell us. This is the Phenom II X4 920 processor, and must be a
premium one because I see it costs more. You could look up a
performance comparison between it and others on the performance test
passmark website.
