I tried it in a dummy load same problem. I also found a USB cable with built
in ferrites and swapped that in, and also put ferrites on the power and CW
paddle cables.

Just received my 5000a. Ocassionally upon start, rx goes into a
schhh...sc...schhh...sc... cycle Non stop. It registers across the

The A is new to me. My C never had that issue however it was running XP on
