If the DX is beyond the passband of your radio (196, 96, 48 khz...depends on
radio & buffer settings) you will not be able to use SPLIT/Multi-RX to hear
both your TX freq and the DX freq, but if you have R2 then you can make R2
go anywhere and you can hear the DX on one receiver while you transm
In digital modes, use the sliders in the VAC box.
If you are using a package like HRD / DM780 you have the ability to control
levels there as well.
For the VAC Box on the system I use, I set TX level at -1 to 0 and RX levels at
-20 to -12. And defaults with HRD / DM.

Can someone outline the procedure for operating split outside of the
width of the radio.
For instance. DX on 14.145 and TX on 14.255
I do have RX2, but feel dumb not being able to set this up.
Thanks

A question about setting TX deviation using digital modes. In the FM mode,
you can manually enable VAC, but the usual gain sliders are absent. Does
one use the ones on the VAC setup tab, or is there another way to set the
deviation? At one time there was a slider tab, perhaps on the transmit

I too could use some specific RTTY help please.
The FlexWiki settings do not seem to work for me. I'm trying to configure
the latest version of PowerSDR (default database) with DXLabs WinWarbler.
When I click on a RTTY spot the Flex 5000/3000 switches to DIGL but the

That message generally means that you have assigned MiniDeluxe
a com port that is already in use. Do you have DDUtil setup also?
Feel free to contact me off line at kd...@sonic.net if I can be
of any help.

Mark,
Open the Setup form & look at the General|Options tab. In the lower
left-hand corner are 2 "click-tune" values. This is the amount that the VFO
is offset when you click on a signal. For DIGU, it defaults to 1500 Hz
since that is considered the "sweet spot" for digital modes except for RTT
Thanks, Brian.
I am using MixW 2.18, and I am able to decode regardless of DIGI-U or DIGI-L
in SDR. (I do see an Inverted option on the menu of MixW, but I don't have
it checked).
I was worried that on DIGI-L, at 2200 Hz there might be some "roll-off" at
that frequency.

Before SDR, I always tried to set my transmit center frequency around 1500
Hz, with the assumption that this was within the normal passband of my TS570
(speech compressor off, of course).
With SDR on RTTY, when I narrow the bandwidth to 300 Hz on RTTY (LOVE THOSE
FILTERS!), I see that on DIGI-U th

Hi all, I am new to flex radio. I have set up the radio as per the manual for

by macros. I believe I need to use the program's MCW option. I find that MOX is
