Okay, it lives! I'm not sure what I did, backed up to 1.1.18 and connected
now 2.1.5 is talking to it. Not receiving yet, it's been on the shelf for a
while
and may need to clean and reseat connectors.

Also, be very careful as it's easy to accidently try and run more than
one instance of mini deluxe at one time which will give you the port
error message also. You don't mention which OS you are running but if
Windows 7, click on the arrow down at the bottom right corner( by the
speaker icon
I'm trying to get my SDR1K running under Win7 32 bit with the LPT
connection, not the USB/PAR adapter, D44 sound card. I must be missing
something simple in the setup or drivers, PSDR doesn't seem to connect
to the radio. PCI par port on port 3 and address is correct in hardware
setup, PSDR 2.1.5.

Once you set the proper port in Minideluxe, you can just minimize it after
it starts.
The proper comm port should not be the one you assign to the CAT function in
PowerSDR but the one that is the "partner" port (the other port defined as
part of the virtual comm port pair).

I've been able to use HRD and DM780 with my Flex500A but I think HRD is putting
a little too much load on my computer. I decided to try Minideluxe in place of
HRD. However, when I start up MInideluxe, a dialog box pops up asking for the
PowerSDR serial port and HRD Server Port (defaults to 780
Check to see if your noise blanker (NB) function is turned on when you see
this problem. If so turn it off and see if the problem goes away. Your
symptoms are identical to what happens when the blanker is on and there is a
moderately strong signal reasonably close. All noise blankers increase
