I'm pretty happy with a pair of small Bose Companion 2, Series III speakers
I have. Good RF immunity, dual inputs (rig and PC), nice sound.

We use Bose Companion Series bookshelf speakers for the K5FRS shack and for
all our hamfests. Never had an issue.

Bose Companion Series III speakers were redesigned for switching "Class D"
audio amplifiers and generate a horrible amount of RF

Wow - lots of Bose users in the hamshack! Graham (KE9H) - thanks for the
comment. I don't have a noise problem with these speakers, but did
immediately replace the supplied switching power supply with an analog unit.
Switching supplies have pretty much been banned in my house.

Way back in the OLD days, before World War II, an ECO was an electron
coupled oscillator, the then popular circuit for a VFO.
Everybody was putting in ECOs so that they weren't stuck on a few
frequencies, depending on how many crystals they had.
