I am runniing flex-3000, vista. When I hit start the screen shows white top
half and grey bottom half, white horozintal line through the middle. I go to
the Flex radio Icon and bring up the operatio mode, if it is in normal I click
on safe mode one and viceversa, then hit start to canel and reh
Parallels says it now supports "firewire" but I be damned if I could get
it to recognize the flex. I strongly suspect it doesn't fully support
firewire devices but can transfer firewire devices that have an OS X driver
already installed.

Ken remembered correctly. PowerSDR is not supported running in a
virtual environment. For Mac hardware, you must use Bootcamp to dual
boot into Windows.

I am not an Apple user, so this depends on my memory of other peoples
experience. So, if I remember the issue, it is something on the order that
Parallels (and other virtual environments do not support firewire. It is
just not present. And that bootcamp does work.
