I agree Dudley and thats exactly what I do. AF gain sits at 50 and is rarely ever adjusted. I adjust volume with the AGC-T control and except for the case where the desired signal is very weak and in the noise the noise level is greatly reduced or for stronger signals completely eliminated. Pul

Travis, You should not need a isolator with the ALS500, but measure it instead , should not be more than 50 volts at 100 ma. check it to be sure. BTW - warning! The FlexWire connector is NOT a Serial connection, if you connect a serial cable to that connector you can cause serious dama
