I had the same issue and traced it to the Firewire cable. Changed it from the
stock standard shielded cable to the Granite cable and all problems were fixed.

I had similar problem with a dual core windows 7 machine. Receive and transmit
audio garbled at 50% CPU, buy many times it jumped up to 80% plus. It's
getting overwhelmed by the video. Went and acquired a used quad core i3
Machine, dedicated it to the 6700. Problem solved.

Hi Gary.
On the right side of the SSDR screen, click on the Mic button. It is a
fly-out which will present you with several choices, one of the which is
your desired Line Input. Click on that and you should be good to go.
