Marty,
I believe the XVTR option for the Flex-3000 is all external, so getting a
DownEast Microwave unit, with the 10 MHz reference option ("A 32" board)
should keep you without drift. I know some folks locally using that (with a
traditional IF) on 10 GHz and no drift...

I've gone through the com0com setup, have my COM7/17 and 8/18 virtual pairs
set there, but I can't seem to see them anywhere else. The com0com
instructions don't seem to have any comments for that, and the KC articles
on Flex seem to assume that they will just appear. Anyone with any suggestions
Almost the same in Vista...but start at "Organize", "Folder and Search
Options", then on then "General" tab there is the "Click items as follows"
option.
Uncle Bill doesn't have new features each OS, he just moves them around. ;-)

I agree. The button should definitely click in and out. My 5000A power
button did hang up at times when I first got it. Loosening the screws
holding the front face on and moving it slightly has eliminated the issue.
