I am having a problem getting TeamViewer 8 to work with my Flex5000. I
can control the radio, but do not get any audio to or from the radio. I
have two VAC channels set up to do this. I use the VAC channels when I
use the JT digital modes and they work OK. Is there something else I am
not
Hi,
I had a weird problem with my FLEX-5000A, as I inserted my mike plug
into the front MIC connector, the black insert with the pins just pushed
back out of the metal shroud. I took the front panel off and epoxied the
black portion to the metal shroud. It works fine now. I also had to
I would also vote for a 1 watt version to drive my microwave transverters.

Hi Ken,
I have the same problem. I just replaced the RFIO board in the Flex5000
and I can now see output power from the XVTX/COM port, just on VHF 1
only, nothing from VHF 2. If you find out something, let me know also. I
believe W3SZ got his T/R to work.

Hi Roger and all,
My noise floor is about -124 dbm using the xvtr input. When I inject a
28 MHz signal of -50 dbm into the XVTX/COM port I see a signal whose
level is -64 dbm. This is using XVTR band 0 set up for 144 to 148 MHz
and 116 MHz LO. I have not been able to see any RF out of any xvtr
I down loaded Firmware 0.1.1.0 and PowerSDR 1.10.3 and the transverter
port (XVTX/COM) now works a little. When inputting a 28 MHz signal at
-90 dbm it shows up on the screen as -100 dbm. I see more spurs with
SR on than with it off. I don't see any transmit power when I try to
transmit. What
I recently received my Flex5000A and tried it with my old computer. It
is a 1.6 GHz Pentium 4 with 2 GB of ram. I could run the software at
48000 sampling and 512 buffer. The CPU usage was 40 to 50 % with some
drop outs. I then bought a new computer, E6750 CPU and 2 GB of ram. My
CPU usage is now
Is there any else near Lake Los Angeles (Palmdale/Lancaster ZIP 93535)
that has bought a Flex5000A that would like to share information,
trails, and tribulations ?

Has anyone connected a transverter to their Flex-5000A ? I tried
putting in a 28 MHz signal into the XVRX and XVTX/COM connectors and
the signal shown on the screen was down about 50 db. I set up the XVTR
menu page for 144 MHz input with a 116 MHz LO. The Installation and
Configuration Manual
Will the new Flex-5000 still be able to use the DEM 144 MHz transverter inside
the box?
Thanks, Larry K6HLH
