I mostly use my Flex-1500 on EME with a 2 meter transverter. The transverter
is configured for split IF and the Flex-1500 is connected to it with the
XVTRCOM and XVTRTX jacks.
This weekend, while awaiting the moon rise, I wanted to do some 6 meter meteor
scatter ops and I could not get any
I believe if you are using VAC to route audio from your digital program to
PSDR, a TX filter is not necessary. This is the best way to transfer digital
audio to the FlexRadio.
If you are routing audio to/from the PC to/from the FlexRadio via audio cables,
then the TX filter may be employed.
Gentlemen,
After extensive playing with 2.0.19RC1 using my Flex-1500 and DEMI 144-28
tranverter, I noted an anomaly. The tranverter uses 28MHz as an IF source,
which is very common.
It appears the noise floor raises 20dBm when switching from the HF band 28MHz
to the PSDR XVTR in the VHF 2
I am getting spikes at approximately 11Khz intervals on each band. When using
WSJT the spike can obliterate a weak EME signal if it happens to fall into the
bandpass of WSJT.
Is anyone else experiencing this situation?
See the videos below.

Jim,
You have the eyes of an eagle.
But, after changing the 10M preamp from +20 to 0, to match the 2M settings, the
difference is now 6dBm.

I am testing WSJT on it right now. Install went great.
Right now I am checking the VAC delay issue from WSJT and FLDigi to PSDR...Will
keep you posted.

I prefer the Downeast Microwave transverters, I own a couple of them.
Be prepared to wait several months after placing your order though. Right now,
I have had one on order since July.

Luckily, I am not one of the small percentages of Flex-1500 users that
experienced this USB driver issue.
But, I am in another small group of Flex-1500 users; the group that could use a
patch to correct the PTT Delay issue so we can use our radios as we intended.

So, where is the delay of RF for SSB operations?
My VHF weak-signal and EME operation requires time to sequence downstream
equipment before any RF is applied.
It appears that the concerns about sequencing or delaying SSB RF during MIC or
digital modes have not been addressed in this version
Hi Jim,
For clarification, it is bug report 3215. The bug report blog details the fix
requirements.
