Exactly the same findings here Ed, Any digital or prolonged SSB pushed the heat up rapidly and the Silenx fans were unable to regulate it. Actually the original fans are incorrectly rated... my tests show that they are closer to 34CFM using an airflow meter. I’ve no idea what the dBA

Interesting info Ed, I'll have to test my fans a bit more and perhaps tweek the resistors to keep the temp below 80. Heres my 2c... Ultimately the original fans have a very high output (38 cubic feet per min) at 12v (and probably even more at 13.8v). This is probably to allow for the worst
