Gentlemen, I own a HP Envy 17 Laptop that has no firewire Interface.How can I
use this computer with the FLEX-3000 Software transceiver?I can't believe FLEX
Radio Company would manufactue a Software Radio that will only interface to a
computer that has a firewire port.Is there a way around this
Yes, I have also. In fact my Flex Control seems to stop randomly and
I have to use the cursor to start changing frequencies, after
which, the Flex Control Works again for a period of time.

I use a extended g5rv V antenna at 70 feet with the Flex 1500 and find
reception on 160 meters excellent!
Each element is 122 ft long and the antenna is fed at the center with 450 ohm
open line (60 feet vertically) and mated to an MFJ Balanced Line Tuner

I have been using PSK 31 with no problems using FLEX versions 19 through 22
I installed the virtual audio ports and the serial port as shown in the manual
with no problems
In using PSK with digipan I set my VAC , my Didgu and set my transmit and
receive sliders to half way.
Also be sure to set

When installing the repair patch on a 32 bit machine an error occurs related to
an attempt to process a 64 bit driver!
Now you tell me!
Jeez , guys can't you at least try the patch on a 32 bit system before
releasing it?

this might be a problem of T/R switching not operating properly on transmit
or receive!
