I followed your process and also rolled Windows 7 back to Windows XP,
using the same Firewire v3.5.0.7171 driver. It works like a charm, no
distorted audio on receive or transmit like I had in Windows 7. Now I'm
wondering if the problem is in the driver or is it something in Windows

click and drag to change frequency it is painfully slow. When I drag
