You only need two cables between the KPA500 and your FLEX5000A:
1.) Connect a cable with an RCA Phono plug on each end from the F5K 'AMP
RLY TX1' connector, to the KPA500 PA KEY connector

If you have the second RX, do you see the same behavior with it?
If you set up the radio as though you were operating split, does the
signal remain there, or does it move up near the TX split frequency?
(Just trying to rule out that it's coming from the TX)
