Is there a fix in the works to correct the full blown volume of the CW monitor?
TX Monitor volume does nothing. If you're wearing headphones or have the
output fed into speakers make sure that you use ear plugs.
The only way to lower it that I've found is to drop the power level.

George,
I would say to make full break in work with 18.3 you will need more
horsepower on the computer side, you are currently on the under
I've been using a Compaq 1.8Ghz with 500m of ram for my SDR-1000 for about 3
years. I'm beginning to notice issues with later versions of PwrSDR lagging or
not even working with CW break-in enabled. I've reloaded each version
including 1.18.3 with the same symptom. Version 1.14 works

that both my 3000 and 5000A have the proper blue pilot lamps!
Lee you are going to get SDR-1000 owners to begin drooling at the prospect of a
blue light mod! Heck I should open mine up and do it before it goes up for
Just got my 3K with about a 2 1/2 week ship time. I ordered on June 5th at the
SeaPac hamfest and it arrived on June 24th.
This is an excellent replacement for my SDR-1000. Setup was very easy using
the same computer (1.8Ghz with 500meg of ram). The improvements are fantastic

Hi Guys,
I just had to chime in about the idea of splitting up the reflector. I really
look forward to my daily digest from Flex that ranges from the beginner to the
developers of the SVN software. We have excellent support from staff at
Flex-radio.
Do we really want to split their time
deal to sign up to another reflector. But I'd hate to
see the momentum and enthusiasm that this reflector has fade down to the level
of the forums on the main website.

I didn't realize this was such a strongly felt issue about splitting the
reflector and certainly didn't mean any offense by my post.

I haven't seen any direct discussion in the archives of the advantages of
upgrading from an SDR-1000 to the new Flex-3000.
Now the obvious ones are built-in tuner, 100 watts on six meters, a smaller
footprint, and far less cabling. But I have my SDR-1000 working well and I've
been wondering
Under settings-display-refresh rate is a new feature called Fill Panadapter.
Instead of single line on the panadapter it now will fill everything below the
line with the same color.
Fun to play around with. Sort of like the Icom displays on the 756 series.

Just downloaded the latest version and can't seem to get the display to settle
down to what I normally use. The signals just seem to flash in and out at a
very fast rate. No amount of playing with the settings allow the sigs to drop
gently into the noise floor. Previous versions allowed the
That was one of those DOH moments! It's a setting on the front panel I never
mess with once a new version is set up and running.
My apologies to the group.
