Hello,

I have a QRO 2500DX and this has always done this with my setup.

I just simply place the transmit toggle switch to standby and then power down the FLX5000. The reason I do not power down the amp first is because the tubes need to cool down for a bit before shutting completely down.

So it is not a big issue for my setup, but for those who run solid state I bet it is a big pain in the brain!

It would be nice to have this issue looked at.

Thank you,
Ken

Are you using a buffering circuit between the amp and the FLEX-5000?

Subject: [FlexEdge] PTT to Ground out Firmware Bug/Refinement ?

Hi Guys,

This seems a minor annoyance when powering off the Flex5000 in that the PTT to ground out makes the linear relay chatter at high speed for 1~1.5 seconds (Tokyo High Power HL-1.5KFX). The simple work around is to turn the linear off first. Could this be a firmware refinement in a similar way of improvement to the audio "ka-thump" now appears fixed in the latest firmware ? (or at least it appears that way)
