This may be related to a bug report I submitted.
Actually I think it does it in cw also.
If your running a cw decoder like CWGET, it needs VAC.
Upon returning to receive after a transmission, it turned off VAC.

It's bug report 1050
Manually hitting MOX to transmit, turns off VAC and leaves it off after 
returning to receive.
