With the antenna disconnected, the panadapter noise floor with release 14
and 15 is very close to -137 db. With release 16, the noise floor is very
close to -125 db with the antenna disconnected.
All parameters that I can control on the console, are equal on all releases.
As for the S meter readings, tonight is a very noisy night on 75 meters. We
have had and are still having wind in excess of 40 mph. Signal readings on
the meter follow:
Release 14 Noise level S9+10
Release 16 Noise level S9+20
Some signals peaking 20 db above the noise level.
I have 10 other receivers and they all are more in accordance with the S9+10
noise level tonight.
