This pure speculation on my part but I wonder if Flex has cheaper Signature models in the pipeline for the future? First the 5000 came out, then the 3000 followed by the 1500. Note the progression; expensive, cheaper, then a lot cheaper. I wonder if they will do the same with cheaper Signature versions at some future point? Lets imagine a Flex-63 00 with only one ANT port and half the processing power of 6500. My thinking is that not a lot of hams cannot afford $4300 for a rig plus annual software upgrades. If they had a model around $3k I know that would consider selling my 5000 to get one.
