Folks

This is an inquiry message to access interest in a Delta44 interface kit designed by Bill Guyer and discussed on the reflector. The design after discussions with Bill and Tony includes RF filtering on all audio lines with SMT chips. The chips chosen are large enough for easy soldering. Only one ground goes through from computer to radio interface to minimize ground loops.

The layout of the board provided by Tony in Express PCB:

The board size is 2.05 x 1.3 inches and can be plugged into the DB-15 on the Delta 44 or brought out on the db 15 cable. There are 4 good quality stereo mini jacks for connection to speakers, radio and microphone or mixer. The DB-15 connector is solder cup style and will be soldered directly to both sides of the board for maximum strength. The ferrite filters are high quality 12-06 parts which should be easy to solder. Assembly time is probably in the 1/2 hour time frame.

I will fund, produce and ship the kit, if there is sufficient interest. I had hoped that it would be under $10 dollars but that would require 100 quantity, and I don't think that the interest would be in that quantity. Estimated cost of the board without stereo cables but with all parts, is $15 to $20 dollars.

Please answer the questionairre above. On the reflector, please indicate interest by e-mailing

Estimate the cost to be $15 to $20 including postage.

Thanks to Tony and Bill for producing this kit, schematics and ideas.

Thanks
