I got a good answer. SWR indication is only valid when the radio is i

SWR only functions in TUN mode. See page 50 of the FLEX-5000 Owner's
Manual.

I was setting up transmit levels with DM780 and PSDR on a different
computer and noticed that when I select SWR I get an indication of
0.0:1. Forward (50W) and reflected power
If you have the forward and reflected power, its easy to calculate the SWR.
SWR = [1 + SQRT(ref / fwd] / [1 - SQRT(ref / fwd)]
Just keep a slide rule or electronic calculator on your desk.
Most calculators now days can do square roots.

] F5K - erroneous SWR indication
I was setting up transmit levels with DM780 and PSDR on a different computer
and noticed that when I select SWR I get an indication of 0.0:1. Forward (50W)
and reflected power (5W) look normal for my antenna at the frequency at which I
am operating.
Suggestions?
