Guys
All I can say is be careful. I went to this website and downloaded audacity.
I did not run or install it but while on the website there were many pop-ups in
spite of my Win XP pop up blocker being turned on. I'm pretty careful and never
click the "x" to exit a suspicious pop up but rather right click the task bar
entry and choose close. Now I cannot access many websites and am plagued with
pop-ups. Spybot search and destroy found a "DNS changer" spyware and removed
it. Trend micro virus scanner found 4 trojans and removed all but one of them.
These were new since visiting that website. When I try to access microsoft
update it sends me to a fake Google error page. XP system restore is somehow
disabled and does not function. The virus that could not be removed was in the
root C:\ directory named "autorun.inf" which when deleted keeps coming back by
itself at will. It seemed to be loading a shell of it's own. I got rid of it by
quickly rebooting after deleting it before it could come back, but still have
all of the above problems. I have a few more things to try before reformatting
my hard drive and starting over but it doesn't look good.

I hope no one else falls prey to this as I have.
