IMO, it depends on what you're using as a keyer. Using CWX works perfectly.
If you're using a paddle and the "internal" keyer in the traditional way
and depending on sidetone to know when to release the paddle to stop
sending dits or dahs, you're likely going to have to make some adjustments

I had a Flex 1500, sold it because it could not handle me sending 15wpm with a
straight key, however you may have different results and the Christmas special
is a good deal
