I am using the F5K in the shack; but, decided to take a Flex-3000 with me to the island of Bequia this winter (tough to put the F5K in my luggage). I originally planned to take a Flex-1500; but, decided that the 100 Watts would be more appropriate due to the current sunspot issues. I will be operating from Bequia for 5 weeks and might operate from St. Vincent for a week following Bequia. My laptop will be used for both internet connection to my office as well as to handle the F3K. Am also taking a full complement of scuba-diving equipment too (less tanks). Three large suitcases for equipment and a backpack for clothes. Alas, minimal clothes....had to leave something behind!
I expect to start operating around January 13, 2010 for about 4-5 weeks. Will probably only work 20 meters. Thought all of you Flexers might be interested in this.
