Quite right, Tim. I had that issue with the more-or-less equivalent Bose
speaker system. A good ground took care of it.

The only possible problem, and this is applicable to the Bose too, is
that connecting the speakers to both the radio and PC creates a ground
loop that *could* be an ingress for RFI. A good low impedance ground
between the PC and radio will usually mitigate that condition.
