Jim and All,
No, do not optimize Power SDR for "third party hardware." Just do
not prohibit it. Instead of a "Softrock 40" selection, just have a
"Softrock" selection. Leave all controls alone; if they apply, then
they can be used. If not, they are just inactive. Pretty simple
mods. Now

Rob,
I think it's good advertising. I have a few enhancements in mind
that would make PowerSDR better for the Softrock Xcvrs. Why limit
the selection in PowerSDR to the Softrock 40? Why not the Softrock
80, 30, 20 and so on? Doesn't seem to be a big seller in Flexradio
land. There's some
those who count to 11.

Hmmm,
Copying must be the sincerest form of flattery, but using our PowerSDR is
pushing the envelope. If Elecraft can compete with us, using PowrSDR,
mebbe we should compete with Elecraft by tapping into their roofing
filters and front panel. ;o))~

Hi,
There's a kit out now, the Softrock Lite, you can order with an xtal
for the K3 IF, I bought one for my K2, with a rock for the K2
IF. Goggle softrock 40 to see what it's all about, and softrockradio
for details on the latest version. Costs $12.00 incl shipping.

Larry Phipps, N8LP of LP-100 SWR meter fame is working on a card to enable a K3
to have a 192 kHz panadapter that will work with any SDR program. Here are a
few specs;
< -130dBm noise floor
Switching quadrature detector for 100dB dynamic range
