Do the following. Fix the console so that you have the soft clicking
going on.
The change the spectrum display mode from spectrum or panadapter, etc.
to OFF. Tell me if the click goes away. It does here on the development
system in my lab.

Joe I experienced something similar when I had USB speakers and a
USB WiFi link at home. Unplugging both devices eliminated the
clicking. I took it to be some sort of polling on the USB ports
somewhere within my poorly shielded PC.
