What are you getting? I've been looking at the 45 Watt THP amp.

I am using an SPE Expert 1K-FA connected to 220 VAC. The F3K is connected
directly to the Expert and I am using DDUtil to control it through an RS232
port. It seems to work well.

Very good! Thanks, I'll look into it.

I'm using an Ameritron ALS 500M amp. This is a 12 volt "no tune" mobile amp.
One cable from the F3k to the amp.
In this configuration it works fine. But I would suggest also using the
accessory
called ARI-500 from Ameritron. By using the ARI-500 and the DDutil utility

I use my Acom A1000. Just love it.
I have a power cube on my remote base, and other than making sure you have
the right type of power supply, it works great as well. It works best with
an unregulated 70A 12V supply.

I run a SB-220 when I run an amplifier.
It's getting ready for a power supply rebuild right now.

I use an ALS-600 most of the time. I have an AL-82 but rarely use it for the
additional 3+db since the no tune ALS-600 is so convenient.

For HF I interface my Flex 5000 with either a Heath SB-200 or Johnson
Thunderbolt. For VHF, the Johnson 6N2 Thunderbolt or Gonset 913A take the
reins. I love interfacing the "old" (all amplifiers are at least 40 plus
years old) with the "new" technology.

an old sb200, esp with pa0fri's mods, works great...except on 160m...

What are most folks using
100 to 400 watts is one S unit or 6db. Actually, specs, your real lucky
to get 400 watts, as typical is spec at 350. Doubt anyone could tell the
difference between 350 and 400 watts. A S unit is noticable with a weak
signal.
Never interfaced to one so don't know the issues there.

I am looking for 20/17/15/12/10. Was looking at THP 450 watt model, running
on a 12V supply from standard house outlet. Not sure if that's enough extra
kick over the 100 watts.
