Tonight, once again, the radio wasn't recognized after powering it up.
However, this time I went into the device manager and simply did a
disable of the 1394 host controller and then re-enabled it (right click
options on host controller in device tree). Very quick and instantly the

I have seen where this would not work, windows OS was ignoring all
commands to that particular port, now if I moved to a different port or
card, the driver would be reapplied to the new port and all was happy,
but the only way to get the original port back was to either reboot or

But did you turn the radio OFF (power down) that is the key, at least
in the half a dozen that have had that issue, just leaving the radio
powered up solves the problem. Personally mine stays up 24/7. :-)

Its pretty random. I power cycled the radio and PowerSDR several times
today trying to work out a "HIGH SWR" problem between my Flex-3000 and a
MFJ-993 and a balanced antenna. It included a power failure. The only
time the Flex Driver didn't load was after the power failure and a
rebooted Windows 7
