In my case I've found as a temporary measure, if you run PowerSDR 2.0.19 RC1 in "Realtime" [ Setup>General>Options>Process Priority ], the audio distortion is pretty much eliminated with nr and/or anf turned on. This is with 512 audio buffers and the new Firewire Device Driver running in "normal" mode.
