I did a little research this afternoon dont know if it is of any use.
Using the old airport file with Fredric's MSVC 9.2 version of 11 June I
tried KSFO rwy 28L10R,KOAK rwy 27L2911 and YSSY(Sydney Australia) rwy 16R
34L in all cases the A/C lined up smack down the middle of the runway.

Since we threw out Metakit (another loud hurray!) I've noticed that
FlightGear doesn't always place the runway correctly on the runway
threshold any more. Try this with the current base package, for
example:
fgfs --airport=KHAF
On the other hand, starting at KSFO is fine. At first, I

Yes, that appears to be true
That's curious, then. I haven't tried building the chunk with KSFO in
it, but I'm missing both old and new runways right now in w080n40.
