Here's the result of using Erik's thunderstorm model: Storm on weather radar about 15 miles out: http://home.comcast.net/~davidculp2/thunderstorm-on-wxradar.jpg
Storm at about ten miles out: http://home.comcast.net/~davidculp2/thunderstorm1.jpg Storm at about 4 miles out: http://home.comcast.net/~davidculp2/thunderstorm2.jpg For these test I just made the storm an airplane, headed east at 20 knots. That works fine, but a dedicated AIStorm would be nice. The radar set, wxradar.xml, is slightly modified from the other one. The blip is different of course, and it's rotated -90 degrees (because I drew it on its side in radar-misc.rgb).
