I had the same and fixed it by re-checking out source from CVS. Just
executing autogen.sh didn't help. I have not tried make distclean or
so.

I've been trying to pity up the sound dialog box without much success.
Is anyone with some more understanding of the gui configuration willing
to spent a few minutes on it?
