Does anyone here know anything about softonics? At first glance it appears
to me to be a link exchange ploy ... by giving out awards we post the
banner on our page with a link back to their site ... drives traffic to
them. Or maybe this is a prestigious award and I'm just behind on what's
what

The softonic website looks a bit like a softpedia clone, one of these
sites that just out to 'catch' traffic, specially search engine traffic.
They would require some nice incoming links from older high ranked pages
to boost their 'reputation' with search engines fast. The softpedia

2009 to 2008 results in a 404 page being displayed... which kinda tells me
