What I found unique in FlightGear's name was the word 'Gear', which,
to me, was an interesting (and somewhat odd) choice. And now I love
it. We all do, I'd guess.
How about something like AveGear Airlines, or AzureGear Airlines?
(But the idea of free isn't really featured in these). And Gear
Andy, thanks.
Would there be passengers who get to log on to the flight and just...
well, watch? It would be over a network, right?

Wow, great idea! I'd love to help out.
Perhaps I can do the music? In-flight, even! Super-compressed for
passengers! *ahem*
Oh, and I've been a lurker in this list for quite some time, although
things find a way of keeping me busy and away from FlightGear.

Mike, thanks for this. I had been wondering...
This helps.

I was reading the official FlightGear manual), and I reach the end of
the "System Requirements" section to find this:
"Joysticks are supported under Mac OS 9.x only; there is no joystick
support under Max OSX at this time." (http://www.flightgear.org/Docs/

Hey
I recently downloaded the scenery around VNKT (Kathmandu, Nepal).
Very impressive, but the only way I could use that airport was
through the terminal:
/fgfs --airport=VNKT --fg-root=./data --fg-scenery=./data/Scenery
How do I get it to appear in the graphical start-up dialogue? It

Hey all,
I want to configure my new joystick (2-axis, hat, 7-button). The axes
already work to control the yoke without any configuration, but
nothing else works (understandably).
I've looked around on configuring and I'm confident I can modify some
other joystick's XML (maybe Cyborg-3d-R
Right ;)
And if you download scenery from the FG website, yes, it's compatible
with the Mac version.

I can launch VNKT from the console if I do --airport=VNKT, but that
list doesn't show it.
Maybe there's a list of all the airports installed that the launcher
looks up?

Hey :)
New FG user here. I downloaded and installed the scenery with VNKT
airport in Kathmandu, Nepal (thanks to pigeon for the help).
How do I add VNKT to the compressed airports list so the launcher
will show it? (On 0.9.9-pre2 for Mac)
(Very impressive work with the scenery, btw) ;)
