A rather monolythic Cairo example collects the features I needed for some 
work. 

As a side effect it can possibly show how to draw inside FLTK using Cairo.
The red moving rectangle can even be moved around. In fact, I did not 
know how to close the green path curve.


The included makefile compiles 3 versions (Xorg/Linux).
Now the problems I found, which I hope to find help here:

o image surface - works properly (speed slow?)
o xlib surface - is slow
o xrender surface - does not render to screen

With the glitz suface I did not come that far. Any ideas about the speed 
improvement?
