Fltk 1.2 tree is abadoned. If there is a continuation of 1.x development, it should be based on 1.1.8 tree to which utf-8 stuff can be applied. If naming it 1.2 would cause too much confusion, the new ABI incompatible versions could be named 1.3.x I am in favor of official 1.x continuation as
