John,
Could you forward this information to anyone you think might be interested
(other than Spidertangle, where it has already appeared)?

Thanks so much,
Kathy

Good news: I have been invited to teach a 5-day workshop in Visual Poetry
(May 31 - June 4) at Taos Institute of Art in NM.

I plan to focus on creative process, so along with an overview from slides,
we will look at the approaches of a number of individual artists as follows:
- What method(s) they employed in making the pieces in question
- How they actually went about physically creating the pieces: materials and
equipment they employed and how they used them to achieve the effect they
wanted
- Why they decided to express their thoughts through this particular method
(e.g.
why this method seemed better to use than another or what reason they
chose to do it the way they did. )

As we look at each visual poet we'll have a chance to try his or her approach
to see how it could affect or change our own work. Plus, we'll have time for
our own projects and group collaborations.

I plan for this workshop to be, most of all, a creativity-generator.
