wasn't really necessary to specify these to achieve some form of
interoperability. The same is not true for hyphenation
dictionaries.

Also, I’m looking forward to the results of the retroweaver experiments,
as I would like to be able to use Java 5 syntactic features in Batik.

Now that FOP requires Java 1.4, does that mean the xml-apis.jar
dependency can be removed?

OK. I will do the same for Batik then.

mising though that it’s as easy as taking the jar as already
produced by the build script and slapping a .pom file together with it.
Anybody here against me publishing the artifacts (after Max’s answer to
my question above)?
Thanks,

Fair enough, I can live without the bleeding edge pdf-transcoder in the
1.7 release. (I may make my nightly build scripts pull SVN FOP too, so
that the latest pdf-transcoder can be included.)

there any more WMF patches that you wanted committed before
the release?
FOP guys, what’s needed to get a pdf-transcoder that runs under Java
1.3 yet has that new PDF text support?
Anything else that anyone thinks is important?
Thanks,
Cameron

Though I think the dependencies may have to be tweaked a little (since
Lars based them on the diagram on the site, which I think is out of
date).

file by specifically referencing the
xml-apis-ext.jar in Batik’s tree. I guess this should be done properly
in xml-commons, but someone with more gump knowledge than me should
probably do it.

Incidentally, is there anything else that needs to be moved from Batik

I meant to type “prev

I particularly like the business card example!
