This may or may not be relevant: While I have not tried the new iso, I can report that my T61 w/intel X3100 hangs the X session (and in particular the input framework) before it can show the background image and GDM w/-qa (updated packages two days ago). This happens w/both kernel 2.6.29-4 and

Anaconda still doesn't recognize an Intel x3100 video card, and you have to install in text mode (it's been that way since I bought this laptop a year and a half ago). If you install in text mode, you get Grub, and I didn't see a choice for Syslinux. Upon first logging in and trying to enable Des
