If you are running Linux, meld is the best diff editor I can think of. It is really sad that this does not run on Windows.
For the diff in PSPad, I think line numbers are on by default. So you can load both files for editing and the diff for viewing. If you have only the diff open, a double-click on a line takes you to that file. To update the diff, press the icon or [ctrl]+R.
