So, I don't think that pushing people to see material that they are not
comfortable seeing is necessarily beneficial to WMF projects or the person.

for WMF to grow stagnant is to work in an echo
chamber. And it is imperative for WMF staff, WMF Board, and WMF community to
welcome diverse views in our discussions.
On a final note, I ask our regular community members to be welcoming and
tolerant of people who they think have different id
rating with social networking sites and perhaps other real world
venues would be a good way to add a social side to WMF.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to recruit new editors into the WMF
community who can provide expertise about Public Policy related content.

The public policy area is one that can be taken across different language
wikis by volunteers if there is there is an interest from the commu
ned for the special needs of WMF wikis and
our global community. We may take some design elements and underlying
concepts from existing systems, but our needs are somewhat unique.
The main objective is not to child proof our sites. We need to recognize

I fully endorse every aspect of Mike Godwin's comment.
The Boards statement makes it clear that their view is that Community
discussion is needed to find long term solutions to the issue. And that "not
censored" should not be used to halt discussion
understand each others concerns and address them.
I'm also hopeful that technical solutions will be implemented and will
resolve the concerns about hosting images that have an educational value.but
are not appropriate for all readers in all settings.
