Hear Hear Freddy,
I 'd like to see ladder logic documentable in CAE as well. I would also like to be able to edit these features in CAE too. In general I think that SFC is not very friendly when it comes to documentation and printing.

Gabriel.

When you perform on online transfer download to an existing compound, that compound is left turned OFF, is this necessary ? or could an option be provided to select the mode of the compound after download ?

That an_init business is a pain. I use my desktop PC to run both
FoxCAE and AIM*AT and I want to be able to connect to all my AWs for FoxCAE
online transfers independently,we have only two AWs running FoxHIST,
but if I list the all AWs in the an_Finit file so I can transfer, then
AIM*AT gets st

Thats not the only gremlin with Exceed RDMs.
We have an intermittent problem using IABatch and
Foxview with Exceed 6.1 on a particular node. If we have a foxview session running on
a remote PC, then open the IABatch "batch display", then most times you cant
enter anything into the data entry a
My pleasure. Ireland is most unusually bright and
warm, we suspect we are having a rather early, and soon to be terminated, sample of a
summer. Where are you based ?

John, probably the most popular college for this is
the Cork institute of Technology, have a look at

Other colleges, such as the Dublin

We use DIN Platinum RTDs, so I gather the SCI in
the AIN block should be
set to 42, but if I use this SCI, the block wont read negative temperature
values, so we have to use the IEC index of 43.
Can anybody throw light on this please ? Am I correct in my assumptions ?

Gaylon, I can only offer initial thoughts.
How are you determining the drift over one year ?
Is it that your MW output has changed relative to a controlled water temperature ? If
this is the case are you sure the drift is caused by the temperature measurment end of
your controlled system ? i.e
Hello Joe, We use exceed on W95. Only the person
logged on during the installation of exceed on a PC can access exceed, subsequent
users who log on are not "registered" for exceed. So we wrote a registry key
script that the user runs (on the PC, just once after the exceed installation) which
We would be delighted not to have to change the
time twice a year, but we are an FDA regulated manufacturer and the timestamps must
refer to "locally interpreted" times. Has any other regulated manufacturer
got a way around this ?

I use it a lot, (Ver 4.0), yes theres a lot of
quirkes. Most can be overcome. I've had an unfair amount of grief from FoxCAE over
time but I wouldnt attempt a project of any notable size without it.
What are your specific problems ?
I use online (ethernet) transfers for up/down
loading success
This sounds a lot like FoxCAE, O.K. the multiple signal FBMS dont get fair
treatment on anything I've seen, but CAE can do lots of whats been spoken
of here and has lots of other nice features too.
Wheres Alex Johnson on this one ? :-)
Gabriel.
