The arm port currently has still some problems, maybe it's simply related to an FPC bug. Try to get FPC daily from cvs.
make crossall CPU_TARGET=arm
and
make crossinstall CPU_TARGET=arm
should build a new fpc/arm for you.
Before I can test it, I've to reinstall my Zaurus, when updating to 3.5.1, the installation got broken :/
