Hi
I have a Word document I want to convert to Framemaker. I contains more
than 100 embedded screen shots. Do you have an idea how I can automate
the conversion to linked graphics in Framemaker?
Or is it easier to do by hand?

Hi
We are evaluating wheteher we should migrate to Structured Framemaker.
Our situation:
* 4200 English source pages to convert,
* no multi-channel output,
* releatively small possibility of reuse, approximately 30% (if we
can use conditions)
* translation into more

Hi Everyone,
I'm suddenly having a problem with Mif2go. All of a sudden graphics files
have stopped importing on some book files when I'm creating a HTML file.
Others import just fine. The graphics files are in the same folder, have
the same format - I can't find a difference between them that
Hi Deirdre,
Being let go just never feels good. I'm sorry that you are experiencing
that.
My first paid job as a technical writer was in 1972. Since then, I have
held many different jobs (not all as a writer), some as a contractor and
some as an in-house employee. The longest writing job was
Can you provide some more info such as your version of FM, MIF2Go,
graphics file formats, and OS?
And are these books/files you have successfully converted before or new ones?

Hi Verner:
Most emphatically, no! You don't have to have a CMS system with
structured FrameMaker! I don't.
I have a similar situation:
* 3500 pages
* multi-channel output
* re-use using conditional text and a few text insets
* no translation
* file version control
Hello all
This probably has been covered somewhere, sometime, somehow, but someone on my
team is just now encountering this problem so I thought I would ask.
When opening certain documents, the error message This document uses
unavailable languages. OK to proceed?
1) Why is this error popping
I had a similar problem my graphics when I had MIF2GO create graphics. I
had an expert look over the INI file and he could not find the problem.
He said this happened to him once in the past and he could not solve it
until he made the INI file from scratch. In the end I solved the problem

Susan,
You need to check three things:
1. Open one of the HTML files in a text editor and see where the graphics
are supposed to be. Search for an img tag. The path of the expected graphics
location will be there.
2. Check the GraphPath=../graphics entry in your mif2htm file.
3. If you are using

Hi - I'm new to the list and figure there is a good chance someone else
asked the questions I'm about to. Is there a way to keyword search the
archives?
Thanks,
