I just loaded TCS4 on a new Surface Pro with Win 8. (touch screen of course)
Frame 11 Icons and the drop-downs associated with them are all pixelated,
jumbled and unusable.
This includes everything at the top and bottom of the screen, and all tool
bars.

Craig, if you haven't already, you should report that bug. I checked in
my copy of FM10, and get the same behavior. You can report it here:

Hello Thomas,
most of our PDF files are produced with visible
printer marks (FrameMaker 8, Acrobat 9 Pro, Win XP).
In some cases,
pages will be trimmed irregularly like you mention it.
So when checking
the PDF file I always set this back to zero for all pages just to be
sure.

Hi Tom
Have you tried importing the page settings from chapter 9 into chapters 2-8?
Cheers

The kind of UI thing that bugs me is this: You have two documents tiled on the
screen. You are in the left side document with your cursor in a paragraph that
you want to retag. You slide your mouse over to the docked paragraph catalog
(which is open on the right side of the screen) and click on
I agree with jowens. Also, be sure to apply the latest update after
installation as there was an initial problem with printing to PDF.
I work with both 10 and 11 and really appreciate the improvements in FM11. It's
certainly not perfect, but it is better.

Hi,
I wrote a few months ago about images, imported by reference, blinking on
screen. The FM files and images are on a network server.
The problem seems to be that the new tech writer used SnagIt to save new screen
captures using the network logical drive specification

Esteemed colleagues,
I am running FrameMaker 10 and Adobe Distiller 11 on WIN 7 Professional. I have
a simple manual with a Title Page, a TOC, and 11 chapters. The manual is in A4
size. I have created, and use, Distiller job options for the A4 page size.

We haven't experienced any problems since we upgraded a few months ago.
The ability to edit the XML directly is a welcome improvement.

All,
We are considering upgrading from FrameMaker 10 to 11. I have seen some
issues on this list concerning 11. We use Structured FrameMaker to develop
our documents and then post online and print from PDF. Is the move
adviseable?
Thanks

I sent Steve something offlist, but I pretty sure you can correct that with the

FM machine right now). I'm sure we did something like this back in Frame 3. I
know we never did the kind of search and replace you seem to be describing.

The big plus with using paragraph tags is that you are defining
general rules with exceptions, so can make global changes.
For example, if you have been breaking at Heading 1 and Heading 2, but
want to add breaks for Heading 3, it's one change in RoboHelp, plus
applying Heading 3 Nobreak in FrameM
Adobe's OWL UI doesn't look or feel much like Office 2010 to me.
