By definition, table footings are at the bottom of each page of a multiple page
table. There is really no other reason for a footing to exist. What you want is
another body row, with custom formatting if you wish, to have it look different
to represent the footing information.

Is there a reason you can’t put the footer content in the last data row of the
table? Since you don’t want the footer content to repeat, it isn't necessary to
put the information in a designated footer row.

Is it possible to have a table footing appear only on the last page of a table
that spans two pages? (I don’t think so, and nor do I think it particularly
desirable. But a reviewer wants it so.)
