Hi Rick
I like oXygen XML Web Author a lot. You can test it online here:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/xml_web_author.html
I'm seeing the following configuration:
- Technical writers use FrameMaker + DITA-FMx or the desktop version of
oXygen XML Author
- Content contributors (subject matte
Oh, and I forgot to mention FontoXML, which is also nice:

Hi, guys. My company is reorganizing its SharePoint infrastructure with the new
year by moving a whole bunch of SP project folders. My documentation has
thousands of URL to files and folders on multiple SP sites that are going to be
consolidated to one SP site, hence, breaking every one of my l
Hi John,
You can use FrameMaker's built-in Find/Change feature to change the URLs in
the text. For URLs in markers, you will need to use scripting. Keep in mind
that FrameMaker versions 10 and higher include ExtendScript built in. If you
are interested in pursuing a scripting solution, please let
Every one of the URLs contains the absolute URL in a marker.
I figured I was going to hear from you. Tell me what you have in mind. :-)

John,
An alternative to scripting for changing marker text is Cudspan's MarkerWorker.
On Chris Despopoulos's website, this plugin is listed under FM 9, but I still
use it in FM 12 and have not seen any problems. You simply unload the marker
text into a document, do a search and replace, then re
I'm skeptical about persuading non-technical Word users to write in
DITA and having them do a good job of it. Oxygen hides the code a bit
but it's still pretty geeky.
Rick just says "XML" but hasn't specified which flavor. And is there a budget?

1. Open FrameMaker document.
2. Save the document as MIF (File > Save As).
3. Close the FrameMaker document.
4. Choose File > Open and navigate to the .MIF file you saved in step 2.
5. Press and hold the shift key when you click the Open button. You should
see the Reading Text File dialog box.
Just an FYI for any newbies in the FrameMaker user community:
The contributions of both Chris Despopoulos and Rick Quatro go far back in
FM history. They've saved users untold hours of time and sanity.
My 2-cent ovation.

I would have a look at EmSoftware's DocsFlow plugin for InDesign.
It lets you import to Google docs and spreadsheet, creating a one-way or
two-way link.
Formatting is maintained in InDesign even if document is updated by author.
